For what reason, I don’t know, I was punished and sent to install Windows PCs for sales people in Nanaimo Daily News.

What’s been the main reason I switched to Apple long years ago ruined my day again.
It might sound like an easy task, but believe me it was not. Sure you can open each one of them, load applications on it, update all of them, set up with user and that’s it. Well, not really. First of all, even-though installing applications on each one of them wouldn’t be a big deal since it’s only MS Office they need, it’s updating it. We are talking about downloading more than 30Mb updates for Windows (who am I kidding, it must of been all 70Mb, but at this point I don’t remember for sure) and downloading 50Mb for office and then 30Mb more. So all together I would have to pull more than 500Mb of updates from internet. Sure, you can say that Apple Mac OS X updates are even larger, but at least you can streamline their downloads. Read »

Well, it’s been almost 3 weeks without entries. I’ve been setting computers up in most beautiful location yet - Ucluelet BC. If you don’t know where it is, you might have heard of Tofino, well it’s just north of it. There’s no corporate class hotels - there are cabins, there’s no franchise restaurants - there are corner cafes, everything is different there. People are different, food is different, atmosphere is different - those two weeks I’ve been there felt like vacation.
