All of the sudden we have 8 members added to our family…

No, I don’t have more kids, and we didn’t get our relatives visiting us… Don’t even guess…

img_4806We’ve got another family in our apartment, better said - on our balcony… Yes, birds…

We, me and my son Matthew, have build a bird house two years ago, in Burnaby Village museum, on Canada Day’s Celebration. And this year we’ve got a family moved in…

img_0012It started quite interesting, I had my ashtray hidden in that bird’s house, in my smoking days… Then, all of the sudden, earlier this year, when I stepped out on the balcony to smoke a cigar, I reached into the bird’s house, to get my ashtray and found something soft, it was bird’s nest…

Later they laid eggs and we’ve been watching them using tethered camera on tripod.

img_4987This afternoon, as usually, I glanced into a hole of the bird’s house, and, in usual spot where the bird was, I’ve noticed something yellow. I guessed that it was little birds, so grabbed my camera and, try not to disturb them too much, took couple of shots.

I’m changing my front page… I’m no longer employed at Canwest

I’ve traded my position to a higher one… IT Manager at Prime Strategies… Smaller company, less hardware, more responsibilities… change is good…

I will not get too much into details, but switch was not easy… Not just for obvious reasons, but because of respect to both organizations, I will not disclose details of how and why, but I should mention it was not that easy…

I am looking forward to my new responsibilities, but looking back at what I’ve left, I want to say thanks to former members of my team and my friends: Terry, Roger, Adrian, Herbert… and many more ‘customers’ I’ve dealt with… I want to thank you guys for the spirit, confidence and self esteem you helped me to gain and knowledge that I’ve gained through working on a huge project of migrating newspapers to OS X.

Enough said, next week will bring new challenges, new opportunities and new friends… looking forward to that…
