It is now second day since nestlings grew up and flew away. It is so quite on the balcony now.
The whole Saturday birds parents were trying to get their kids out of the birds house, out of the nest. It was nature miracle to watch. I’ve filmed some of it, some of it you had to see. Basically parents were calling them from the branch on outside of our balcony and teasing them with food - bugs and ants. They would fly very close to the nest, where those hungry nestlings were going crazy loud, and fly back on the tree. They would sit on the brick wall, right next to the birds house, calling nestlings out.
Ant then, in a split second, nestling would fly out… and once he’s gone - he is gone…
Sunday morning, parents were still working on getting rest of them out of the nest, and by 11am all were gone. It is empty nest now, and they will not be back until next year to grow their family once again.
Sunday, while having barbeque outside, I showed video on my iPhone to my father. You could clearly hear birds in that video, and one of the parents, I guess, flew and sit on the branch right next to us. I guess they were a bit worrying that some of their kids were left behind.
