Here is my second QVR attempt, this time it is Cypress mountain viewpoint. Weather in the city was not perfect for photography, so we went to Cypress mountain - 2010 Olympic competition venue.
This time, I’ve stitched 25 images and trimmed edges. Enjoy and comment
Me and my brother visited Flavours of Italy Wine Tasting happening at Westin Bayshore on Tuesday Nov 3rd. The event was a blast followed by fashion show, shots of which I will share very soon.
On our way home I took some long-exposure shots of Coal Harbour. Removed yellow overcast, boosted
I drive by this park eveyday, never knew how to get it, and today was a perfect day to explore it.
Weather is amazing this summer and early fall in Vancouver (knock on wood) and today was beautiful as well. +19C (+66F), sunny, not a cloud in the sky (except for beatiful clouds over the mountain peaks)
When Coreena, co-owner of Loeka - women’s mountain biking clothing manufacturer asked me if I will be interested in doing a shoot for their 2009 catalog, how could I say ‘No’?
I mean in addition to being good friends with Coreena, passion to photography and opportunity for more practice - it’s girls clothing we are talking about. What could be hotter than hot girls riding mountain bikes?
So I accepted invitation and showed up sharp on Sunday morning. Once coffee and Bailey’s was finished we head to the forest. It was pretty nice day, for outdoors, but not so great for photoshoot. Bright sun promised harsh shadows, pressure from 5 girls and expectations - it is product catalog we are shooting.
5 hours later, I’ve had just over 900 photos, all batteries in Nikon flash died, and cold Corona was waiting in the cooler. It took me a while to get those photos processed, as how they always say - “Don’t quit your full time job” But at the end I think there were a photo or two worth going on one of the pages of that catalog, and possibly on Loeka’s website, as well as newly opened online store which sells Loeka’s clothing at promotional prices GirlsGoneMTBView »
I’ve dedicated separate post for this QVR (QuickTime Virtual Reality) of Palladium Riviera Resort and Spa I’ve recently visited.
I have dozens of photos to share from this trip, both personal and to be included on my Flickr and here pages, which I will upload in the next couple of days. It was challenging creating this QVR, as originally it started as regular panorama. 22 images were shot in sequence, but Photoshop rejected to stitch them as I wanted (instead of arranging them as 1-2-3-…-21-22m it arranged them as 20-21-22-1-2-3…-18-19) so I’ve played with Polar coordinates filter and them decided to play with QVR for the first time. I think result is pretty good. View »
July 1st 2009, Rocky Point park in Port Moody, crowd gathered to get a piece of Canada Day cake. Two volunteers, originally cutting the cake, will not be able to handle it. Good thing than Port Moody mayor Joe Trasolini and Port Moody City Councillors Mike Clay and Diana Dilworth helped them in this not so every day office task. I’ve also filmed the entire ceremony, which I will upload shortly. In the meantime, photos below. View »
I was lucky enough to get access to the roof of brand new Woodwards building currently under construction in Vancouver. It is quite spectacular building by itself, but the view is just stunning. I’ve been trying to get right weather and right moment, and finally it worked!
Here is Flickr images, some panoramic shots, some just regular shots of the view from 43rd floor. There is also a video speeded up from 10 minutes to under 10 seconds, enjoy! View »
Photoshoot of Eat! Vancouver tradeshow that took place at BC Place Stadium May 22-24 for www.DiningReview.ca.
I spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the BC Place. The show itself was a blast. All together I took just over 1500 photos and kept just under 100. It took me a bit of time to upload them as my iMac’s harddrive died Monday after.
I’ve also filmed Anthony Sedlak cooking halibut wrapped in prociutto and video is coming soon to DiningReview YoutTube channel
One of my co-workers has Whistler summer cabin. Me and my family went on weekend trip over back in April 2009.
We spent great time, weather was good and sun was perfect for shooting. Too bad we don’t sky as it was the perfect time to hit the slopes. Most of the nature imahges wre taken behind Fairmont Chateau Whistler hotel.
There were way more photos, but most of them would go on my family MobileMe site. This are the best of those that I can share with public, Enjoy… View »
We needed some shots of the New Met Pub (Metropole which is now owned by Donnelly Group freshly renovated) for one of the proposal we are working on.
We would have been nice to get some shots of the pub at nighttime, but it is never empty. We’ve done shoot at 11am with large aperture, lowest ISO and 2-4 seconds shutter speed to imitate night aura. We then added some blurred shadows from 4 people at the pub. I think it worked very well.
Mike, Met’s manager, liked photos so much that he asked me for non-watermarked ones for their promotional materials. Happy to do so! View »

This is one of the Flickr sets that has nothing to do with certain events, but gets updated on regular basis.
This Set in particular, includes different shots of the food, dishes, ingredients - everything that directly or remotely has something to do with food.
Cakes, dishes, close-ups of fruits and vegetables. As a thumbnail, I’ve included [...]
Cleveland Downtown - busy during the day, dead after 5pm and on weekends. Absolute opposite to Vancouver Downtown.
There is no shopping - only happy hour at the bars. Downtown has many museums and historical places of interest.
There is Cleveland’s Browns Stadium, Science center, Civil War memorial and much much more.
This set is just a [...]
